Home Tour 2024
November 04, 2024
It’s time for another incredible home tour. This year the tour is Monday, December 2 from 5:30-8:30. Not only do we have four historic homes but we have added a back stage tour of the Tower Theater.
Home descriptions can be found on The Tour page here on our website. Downloadable descriptions and a tour map will be published there later this week.
This is the 85th anniversary of the theatre and we have planned some special events there. In addition to the students from Fresno High’s Senate serving as docents at all of the houses, Fresno High drama students will also be scattered throughout the theatre dressed in costume. And, of course, Fresno High musical groups will be performing on the tour as well. Additionally, the Fresno High band boosters will be selling hot drinks and sweet treats at two of the houses.
Like last year, Moto will be open at 4 pm on the day of the tour. Tour-goers are welcome to stop by to enjoy a beverage and a snack. It’s a chance to meet and mingle before the tour and enjoy conversation with members of the committee and the community. Our new hoodies will be on sale there for $35.
As a special addition, the trolley will be available to take tour-goers to and from Trolley Park and the Tower Theatre beginning at 5:30 from in front of Fresno High. The trolley will run continuously from the high school to the theatre until the end of the tour at 8:30. Parking is available at Fresno High and in the Tower Theatre parking lot. Two of the homes this year are in close walking distance to the theatre.
Don’t miss this opportunity to join the fun and celebrate the holiday season. Tickets are $30 and are on sale both online on our website and at Moto Deli on Echo as well as Gazebo Gardens on Shields and Van Ness. You may use cards at Moto but tickets must be purchased with a check or cash at Gazebo Gardens. Children must have a ticket unless they can be held; however, strollers will not be allowed in the homes or the theater. This is our first year with Square so there has been a little confusion about online tickets. Your online receipt will serve as your ticket. You may show it at the door on your phone or print it.
All proceeds from the tour go toward supporting Fresno High and the Fresno High community. Last year we were able to give out seven scholarships to Fresno High students as well as supporting other student activities at the school. The generous support of our sponsors and donors as well as ticket sales from the tour made that possible.
So gather your friends and family and get your tickets today. It’s going to be another great tour!
