Your Support

November 08, 2022

We would like to thank our sponsors and donors for this year’s tour. In addition to ticket sales contributions like this help us to fund the many projects that we support in the Fresno High community.

Last year we were able to help needy Fresno High students attend the prom as well as Grad Night. Additionally, we gave three $500 scholarships in June to senior student senators who have participated in the tour each year as docents. All the student senators who worked on the tour were rewarded with a pizza party.

The Fresno High musical groups that performed last year also received a small donation from us for their efforts. The groups are just another way that Fresno High students are part of what makes the home tour so special.

In memory of Linda McAlexander and her work with us and with the educational community, we awarded a $500 scholarship to a Fresno High senior who had shown dramatic improvement over four years. And we also awarded $500 in memory of Tori Long, a past Fresno High student, to a senior who demonstrated promise as a creative contributor to the school and the community.

This year we have continued to support the school by providing the FHS football players, which is without a booster club, with food before their games. We are also working with the student activity director at FHS to make this year’s tree lighting the best it has been in 30 years.

In the Fresno High community, we are working with Andy Levine and the City of Fresno to replace the worn banners across from the high school. We are also working with the City of Fresno and the art students to provide decorative benches and trashcans at the new parklet going in at Van Ness and Weldon.

Every year we put up holiday decorations on the lamp posts on Echo, Weldon and Van Ness. This is an effort solely provided by volunteers from our committee and the neighborhood. It is a lot of work and a lot of fun. Placed between our iconic deodar cedars, the decorations on the lamp posts are just another way of signaling how unique our neighborhood is.

We are a strictly volunteer group. All monies are used to support the tour, the school and its students and the Fresno High community. We are a registered non-profit and we welcome donations. If you would like to donate to our organization, please contact Cathy Cirimele. Thank you for your support.
