Pumpkins in the Park
November 04, 2024
On October 19 the Fresno High Home Tour committee and Annalisa Perea’s office co-sponsored Pumpkins in the Park in Trolley Park.
Free small pumpkins donated by Von’s were provided for children to paint. Fresno High students were present to help them decorate their pumpkins. Some of the students even came dressed in costume. Annalisa Perea’s office supplied treat bags with snacks and water for the children.
Shirley Farris Interiors conducted a succulent pumpkin making class in the park as well. Adults and some children used succulents and other greenery to create some real masterpieces. Farris interiors also provided the water-based paint for the children to use to paint their pumpkins.
It was a wonderful, autumn day. Halloween themed music played in the background and children and their parents were able to enjoy Trolley Park while participating in a neighborhood event that involved neighbors as well as Fresno High students. In addition, there was an opportunity to pick between two designs for the mural that will go onto the walls surrounding the park. And we had the opportunity to promote the Halloween contest, sell tee shirts and promote this year’s home tour. It was a good day for the Fresno High neighborhood.
