Home Tour 2023
November 24, 2023
Last year’s tour was an incredible success. This year’s tour will be just as amazing. The tour will be Monday, December 4 from 5:30-8:30.
Our pre-tour will be at Moto from 4:00 until 6 pm. Moto is across the street from Fresno High and in the heart of our tour. You can meet some of our committee members as well as community leaders while sharing a beverage and a snack or meal before starting the tour.
Our tour will include four unique houses and the Shrine of St. Therese. There will be special musical performances by Fresno High students and members of St. Therese’s congregation. Fresno High student senators will again serve as docents as well as adults from the Fresno High community. Descriptions of the homes and more details will be posted on the website in the week before the tour.
As an additional activity to this year’s tour, there will be a special event at a Sense of Place Fine Art Gallery at 2003 N. Van Ness from 5-7:30 pm hosted by the gallery owners and city staff from the Tower District Specific Plan. Folks will be painting rocks for the #TowerRocks art project while learning about the updates to the Specific plan. After the event, the city staff will take the rocks, glaze them and place them around the Tower/Fresno High area. There is space for a dozen people at a time and, although tickets are free, you must preregister here. Children 8 and older must be accompanied by an adult. The event should take no more than 30 minutes. Hot drinks will be served. For more information, contact Veronica Martinez at Vernoica.firstname.lastname@example.org.
We will not be requiring masks this year but you are encouraged to wear one when in close quarters in the homes. We will be posting more information on the website under Etiquette as we get closer to the tour date. As in the past, each tourgoer will be given a pair of booties at the first home they attend; these should be carried from home to home during the tour.
Online tickets are on sale on our website at fhshometour.com. They are $30 per person. Moto will also be selling tickets. On Saturday, December 2 we will be selling tickets at Gazebo Gardens from 10-2 during the Handmade Fresno Holiday Market. You can use your debit or credit card or pay with cash or a check made out to Fresno High Home Tour at both Moto and at the Holiday Market.
So gather your friends together and celebrate the beginning of the holiday season with us. We hope to see you on the tour.
